QuickStep Professional Coaching Program

Be a life coach and empower others to reach their goals.

Program Description

Want to become a coach?  If so, your first step is to obtain coach-specific training. Life coaching helps people tap into their potential, unlocking their imagination and creativity so they can be more productive.  If you are serious about becoming a life coach or just want to improve your leadership skills, Quickstep Coaching has one of the best and most affordable programs in the country.  We teach this same program at Dallas Baptist University (MAPD 5310 & 5315).

The QuickStep Professional Coaching Program will help you become a coach and develop the necessary skills to excel as a more effective manager, supervisor, minister, or leader at work, community, and home. Learn how to help other people make better decisions and motivate themselves.  Learn the secret to being supportive without “over-managing.” Gain winning strategies for leading your team to excellence.  These and many other skills await your enrollment in one of the best investments you will ever make for your career.

The International Coach Federation has approved the QuickStep Professional Coaching Program as an ACSTH (Approved Coach Specific Training Hours) training program, and guarantees that it will apply toward an ICF coaching credential via the ACC or PCC ACSTH Path. Our goal at QuickStep Coaching is to specialize in one thing – getting you to a competent professional coach status as quickly as possible at a fair and reasonable price. Coaches trained by an accredited school and then credentialed through the International Coach Federation achieve the “Gold Standard” of coaching. Our program is designed to teach you powerful coaching methods to help other people take responsibility for their lives and achieve greater potential.

This live webinar is taught in English in the fall each year and meets twice a week for 4 months, and each session is 2 ½ hours.

Class time is 5:15 pm to 7:45 pm (CDT) Tuesdays and Thursdays. (Time of day may be negotiable after the first class.)

FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most often asked questions by our participants.

How often does the class meet?

This course is taught in the Fall each year.

Class meets twice a week for 4 months, and each session is 2 ½ hours.  These classes are conducted live through online webinar software.  This format allows you to see other participants, the instructor, and the shared screen for each session.  Classes are discussion-based and interactive with coaching practice in every session.

Will I see other participants in the class?

Yes, most of the participants share their video (student’s choice), and there is much interaction. You will have the opportunity to get to know other classmates.

Who teaches this program?

This live webinar is taught by Ed Hale, an ICF credentialed coach (PCC level) with a wealth of life experiences that relate to most participants. He also teaches this course in a graduate level life coaching concentration at Dallas Baptist University.

Am I qualified to take this program?

Yes, everyone qualifies for this course whether or not you’ve had any coach training.  This program takes you from “Square One” and teaches you how to coach, and is a great refresher course for experienced coaches who need CCE units.  There are no pre-requisites for this program.

What if I have to miss a class?

We record content-classes and make it available to absent participants. However, we also keep attendance and you will receive credit only for the live hours spent in class. If your schedule requires that you miss several classes, then you should look for another course that better fits your schedule.  (See Attendance Policy below and DBU’s Policy (if applicable).

How close will this get me to my ACC or PCC?

The Associate Certified Coach (ACC) is the first of three certifications offered by the International Coach Federation, which is the Gold Standard credentialing organization for coaches.  The ICF training requirement for ACC is 60 hours of approved coach-specific training. Completing the entire QuickStep Professional Coaching Program will earn you 75 hours of ICF approved training toward an ACC with 15 of the hours going toward your PCC certification.

Payment Options
